Those who have been through a fiery trial say that although they wish not to go through it again, they would not trade for anything what they learned and what they know as a result of the trial. They see how God used their tribulation to mature and strengthen them and to bring glory unto Himself. They are blessed to be recipients of the exceeding joy Peter speak of (1Peter 4:12-13). The also know the peace Jesus left with us (John 14:27) and that through patience He comforts us with scripture. When you study and know His Word, when you hold it close to your heart, He speaks to you through it, and you will remember His promises when the unexpected happens and the struggle begins.
