Rotator Cuff

Praise the Lord! I reviewed all of my tests today with an Orthopedic Specialist at COH, and he confirmed that there is no cancer in the area that has been causing me pain. However, there is inflammation and fluid around my rotator cuff. We discussed options, and decided that a steroid shot would be the most effective in getting rid of the pain and getting mobility back in my arm. The doctor said the shot would be a piece of cake. It was NOT a piece of cake. He had a hard time finding the space between socket and the clavicle, so he kept hitting my bone with the 2" needle. Ouch! I am really sore at the moment, and I have some kind of numbing agent that should last only 8 hours. Hopefully the pain will decrease before the eight hours are up.

Thank you with all my heart for your prayers. I don't know why this flared up so quickly and with such intensity. It has been a hard week dealing with pain. Hopefully I am on the right path for healing. It was very comforting to know that I had so many people praying. I do believe that the pain was less as the prayers increased.

Please pray that the steroid shot will be effective. I will know in the next 2 days whether it was a good decision or not to have the shot. I am told I need to baby my arm a little longer and then get into physical therapy.

Love,
Sandy
