Chemo Delayed

Tuesdays start with a blood test. Yesterday, after only one week of chemo, my white blood cells were too low. Chemo had to be put on hold until next Tuesday, and I received a shot of Neupogen that helps the bone marrow produce more white blood cells. White blood cells fight infection, so I am currently at risk of getting sick if around too many people. I will continue to have two more shots of Neuprogen, and then I am scheduled to have the portacath on Friday. Please pray that the white cells will increase, and that I stay healthy. It is also really important that I stay within certain parameters for the clinical trial that I am in. The clinical trial makes life so much easier, and calmer, than outside of the trial.

I was sent this incredible blog for a little girl named Daisy. Her father is a minister, and he preaches the sermon of his life in the face of almost losing his daughter the week prior. It is powerful. If you have had a loss of any kind, and have asked how a God could allow such tragedy, then this is the most powerful sermon you will ever hear.

click on "When My Heart is Overwhelmed" by Pastor Britt. I was going to Blog my thoughts, but this is such a deep message, you would be cheated if you did not hear the entire sermon.

God Bless,
