As I face surgery tomorrow, I have peace due to the multitude of prayers that are being lifted up for my family. Your messages in the guestbook are very touching and give my family such strength.
I want to try to convey to all of you the deep love I have for my husband and parents during the past 6 weeks. My husband, Jon, has been a rock during all of this. One can only imagine the fear and stress he has had to endure regarding our family's future. It is by his faithfulness to God that our family is covered like an umbrella in Christ's mercy and grace. Jon is everything the Bible talks about in a spouse. He has turned vows said in a ceremony twenty years ago into action words.
My Mom, Judi, has been a strong force and a lifter of my soul. She gives me daily encouragement through the scripture and orders me to believe that God will heal. She is a Mom that will fight for her "cub" and not let harm come. She has shown great strength and Godliness.
My Dad, Marv, has sat outside many a room waiting for test results. He is the earthly Father that stands guard in the waiting room and engulfs me with his mighty arms when I am beaten down. There is nothing like laying in your Father's arms. It is a very safe feeling.
My Step-Mother, Sandy, has been a genius with the computer, and a comfort and help in so many ways. She is a blessing beyond words. The blog is beautiful because of her touch.
My girls have been very helpful and supportive. They are frightened that Mom will be gone for the week, but they feel surrounded by love. They are the two lights that I push on for because I plan to see them grow into lovely women of God.
I can't wait to get home from the surgery and read all of my notes! You are all gifts from God. I pray that YOU have felt God's power, and that you will SEE his mighty works.
Love,
Sandy
