Today a friend commented on the connection of us praying at 11:00, and the reference to the 11th hour in my last blog. I have to say I had not thought about it, but kind was kind of in awe over how that fits so well.
The 11:00 time came about with me waking up on Wednesday morning and calling Adam Donner at Glenkirk to ask what he thought about a healing prayer time. We agreed on Thursday at 11am, and after I posted my Blog out to everyone, I sent a private e-mail to a small group of those I know who are not working and believe in the power of Jesus to heal. I think it was wonderful how that time was posted on my blog and it started a firestorm of prayer!
We had about 20 who gathered at 11am on Thursday for prayer. Those who heard and came were brought by God. We prayed for an hour, and it was unlike anything I have ever been a part of. We all claimed the power of Christ, and we all believe that he is mighty to save and will reveal His power in the road ahead.
Later that day as I ran into people, I was amazed at how many people were praying at that hour. It was humbling and powerful. We felt those prayer within the group. I think that the phone lines in heaven must have shorted out by all the calls of help!
God hears our prayers. He will respond with love and mercy. We have prayed for healing rain to come down upon me, our house, and the people around us. I need physical healing. Some need spiritual healing. God is on the move in a powerful way, and I feel as if a ton of brick was lifted Thursday by prayer.
I want to ask that you keep praying at 11am (or anytime) for our family and healing of cancer. I have some tests next Wednesday in the afternoon. A bone scan and MRI of spine. Maybe this is what needed to happen for prayer to come back to all of us in a powerful way. Even our family has gotten complacent in our prayers. We can't grow weary or faint. Isaiah 40:31
I waited patiently for the Lord (for 2 1/2 years);
he turned to me and heard my cry (and the cry of hundreds).
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock (Jesus)
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth (Healing Rain and Our God is Mighty to Save by Micheal W. Smith),
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust
in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-3
Humbly Yours,
Sandy
