Sad
Humbled
Unworthy
These are a few of the words that some to mind when I think on the events of Holy Week. I am sad for the pain that Jesus endured and did not deserve. I am humbled when I think of how I would have acted if I were there. Deny him like Peter? Run and hide like the rest of the disciples? Worse, would I have been yelling, "Crucify Him!" I feel unworthy that Jesus would have still gone to the cross and asked His Father to forgive me.
Amazed
Forgiven
Cherished
These words only scratch the surface of the joy I feel on Easter Morning. I am amazed at how God loves us. I feel forgiven and washed clean by the lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for my sins. I feel incredibly loved that God would go to such extreme to pay the ransom for me. Satan has no claim on my life because of Christ Jesus. If the tomb was not empty, we would have nothing to celebrate.
Easter is a day of rejoicing and celebrating the risen Savior, Jesus. He is the Messiah that came to save us all from sin and Satan's grasp. He is the fulfillment of scripture, and the hope for tomorrow. I hope that if you read this in time, you are prompted to find a church on Sunday and see what all the excitement is about. Glenkirk's services are 8am, 9:30am, 11am
Hallelujah!
