Thankful

Thank you so much for all your prayers throughout the year! My family is truly thankful for all the friends and family that lift us up on a regular basis in prayer. I had my scans two weeks ago, and was told last week that the cancer has not advanced since starting chemo, and the doctors were very impressed. Since I did not have full treatment, due to my white blood count, I did not have high expectations. Thankfully, the news was good. Tomorrow I will have my second treatment in this next round of chemo. I will continue with three weeks on, one week off. I am feeling better than I thought I would. I have experienced bone pain and fatigue, but all in manageable doses. I know you will continue to pray for healing and even better results on my next scans. I have peace because I know that God hears prayers on my behalf on a daily basis.

Thank you all for you prayers for my Mom and family over the loss of my Uncle. It definitely has been hardest on my Mother. I hope that the Blog inspired people to remember the moment that they accepted Jesus into their hearts and the hope and promises that decision gave them. If you have lost touch with that feeling, then it is a good time to renew your relationship with God. If you have a family member that is lost, give them a call and encourage them in some way.

I love Thanksgiving because it is not about presents, it is about gathering together and being thankful. I love the Macy Parade, the smell of turkey in the oven, the laughter of family, and the first taste of Eggnog. I love all of the flavors that are on my plate complimenting the turkey. I have a sweet potato casserole that is a hit! I am thankful for Marie Calendar's pumpkin pie!

I am thankful for the wisdom of doctors who helped me navigate pain the first six months of this year. I am thankful for the Disney Cruise my family vacationed on, and that I was totally pain free and everyone was healthy. I am deeply grateful for all the special friends who have brought meals and been drivers to City of Hope. I am thankful for good company as I am getting my chemo.

I am thankful for my husband, who works so hard and does so much to show us his love. I am thankful for healthy daughters who have a deep understanding of God's love and peace.

Thank YOU all for blessing us so much!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Sandy
