Hi,
Last week was crazy! The girls wrapped up their school year on Wednesday. I had 20+ teenage girls over at my house for a swim party on a horrible overcast day (they had fun). The next day, I headed off for a Girl Scout Sleepover and their "Fly-over" Ceremony. It was a wonderful event, but we were exhausted on Friday. Saturday Michelle had a softball tournament that went into Sunday. Needless to say, we are ready to sleep in tomorrow and enjoy our first day of Summer Vacation.
This Wednesday I have a procedure on my back at City of Hope. I am not too stressed over it. I am told it should go smoothly and that the recovery is quick. Don't tell my girls that the recovery is quick. I want them to wait on me hand and foot for a couple of days. I will milk this for as long as possible!
I look forward to getting back into my routine. I have to admit, my morning devotion time and prayer life has been weak lately. It seems like I have been running at full speed and just trying to keep up. In the midst of the chaos last week, I had wonderful moments of thanking God that I can even be running at full speed. I fully realize that there are many obstacles that could have kept me from all the activities that I enjoyed this past week.
I am also backing off of my pain medication this week. The prayer is that the radiation has worked and the pain in my legs is gone.
Thank you for always keeping our family in your prayers. We would not be functioning the way we are without all of your support.
More to Come,
Sandy
