Getting Stronger

Thank you to all you have been praying for me since last week. I thought that the Kyphoplasty would be a quick recovery, but I was very wrong. In talking to nurses and other physicians, I don't think my slow recovery is completely out of the ordinary. Anytime someone takes a hammer and wedges a needle into your bone, there is going to be some pain. The question has been (in my mind) whether this was worth it, and did it cause more problems. I think that yesterday (Wednesday), I turned a corner and I am feeling better. I have a ways to go for complete relief from the pain, but I am hopeful that time will come.

I think it is good to always look for some positive in the midst of a struggle. The pain has forced me to slow down and relax. I have had no choice but to read, nap, and play games where I do not have to move much. I would have liked to be getting a good start on my summer scrapbooking, but I know I will get there. Thankfully, it has been a quiet couple of weeks, so that I did not have to cancel anything.

Thank you again for your prayers. I am truly thankful to have such wonderful prayer warriors out there.

God Bless,
Sandy
